There are three Aktion Clubs currently in the Southwest Region; two of them are Aktion Club Theatre groups. These theatre groups are collaborative community gatherings for people of all abilities and ages, where people, art, and community partner for a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

The theatre clubs focus on:

  • Social justice issues related to disabilities
  • Increased community awareness about issues people with disabilities face
  • Embracing everyone’s abilities within the group
  • Sharing everyone’s gifts and talents in a safe, compassionate environment

Aktion Club Theatre of Fairmont

Aktion Club Theatre of Fairmont started in 2017 and provides people of all abilities an opportunity to share their gifts and talents in a safe, compassionate environment. The group will create their first production in 2018–2019. All are invited to participate. This club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Fairmont.

The group meets the fourth Thursday each month at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. For more information, contact Pat Kietzer at 507.848.5017.
