Arc’s Value Village

About Arc's Value Village

Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores and Donation Centers are a means of funding programs and services that benefit children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through The Arc Minnesota.

Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores and Donation Centers started 1982. Today, our three thrift stores generate significant funding for The Arc’s programs and services. Donated items are sorted and sold to happy customers both in store and online. There are currently Arc’s Value Village locations in Bloomington, New Hope, and Richfield.

Through public policy and programming, The Arc Minnesota and Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores work together toward our goal—a future where people with disabilities live a life they choose with hope, confidence, and belonging.

Donate

Your donations support our mission and the communities we partner with. With the support of Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores and Donation Centers, The Arc Minnesota has made an impact in the community.

  • In 2020 we supported 1,563 people with our Information and Assistance service on over 2,725 issues.
  • Through our housing access programs, we’ve assisted almost 2,700 people in moving into housing since 2009.
  • More than 900 individuals have participated in legislative events, working towards systems change for individuals with disabilities.

Your donations of gently used clothing and household goods make it all possible. Donating to Arc’s Value Village is easy, convenient—and so appreciated. We accept pretty much any clothing, collectibles or common household items that are clean and in good repair. Review the Donation A to Z Guide on what we accept. We even accept vehicles!

Volunteer

It’s easy and fun to volunteer at Arc’s Value Village!

In 2020 there were 597 people who volunteered at the Arc’s Value Village stores. Each volunteer is essential to our success and contributes to our mission. Volunteers are also critical to store operations, helping keep costs low to generate maximum return and funding for The Arc Minnesota’s programs.

Help the Arc’s Value Village crew sort, organize and get items ready for sale. You’ll be unpacking donations; hanging and tagging clothes; putting price stickers on books, dishes and other hard goods; testing small appliances to make sure they work, and more.

Shopping

Shopping with a Purpose™ is fun at the Twin Cities’ best thrift store! With more than 20,000 items stocked daily, there’s always a treasure waiting to be discovered at Arc’s Value Village.

Thrifting promotes environmental sustainability by lightening your impact as a consumer. Environmental change disproportionately affects people with disabilities. By purchasing items that already exist, you’re giving them a new life instead of sending them to a landfill, and making change in our communities.
