One-time volunteer opportunities are an opportunity to make an impact in a way that best fits your schedule. Whether you have a few hours, or would like to work on a project from start to finish, we’d love to hear from you.
Arc’s Value Village stores generate funding for The Arc Minnesota. Your time at our thrift stores directly supports The Arc’s mission. Unpack, sort, and tag donations such as clothing, household goods, books, toys, etc. at an Arc’s Value Village store in Richfield, New Hope, or Bloomington.
You can work individually or with a team and hours are flexible: days, evenings, and weekends, seven days a week.
Volunteers are essential to support our annual Gala.
Volunteers can make contributions through committee involvement (auction, sponsorship, or guest experience), or assist with activities during the day and evening of the event.
Day and evening of event activities include silent auction set-up, auction spotting, coat check, registration, clean-up, and many other tasks. Shifts are 3-4 hours in length and run from 9:00 a.m. until midnight.
Allycia Wolff, Advocate at The Arc, explains how volunteering directly supports people with disabilities in this short video.
Assist with our public policy efforts and systems change by telling your story, speaking with legislators, or letting your representatives know about issues impacting the disability community.
Volunteers can participate by hosting a home visit, participating in Get Out the Vote activities, Tuesdays at the Capitol, Disability Day at the Capitol, and a host of other activities.
