There are three Aktion Clubs currently in the Southwest Region; two of them are Aktion Club Theatre groups. These theatre groups are collaborative community gatherings for people of all abilities and ages, where people, art, and community partner for a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
The theatre clubs focus on:
Aktion Club Theatre of Fairmont started in 2017 and provides people of all abilities an opportunity to share their gifts and talents in a safe, compassionate environment. The group will create their first production in 2018–2019. All are invited to participate. This club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Fairmont.
The group meets the fourth Thursday each month at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. For more information, contact Pat Kietzer at 507.848.5017.
Aktion Club Theatre of Mankato meets twice monthly. We have a short business meeting, then an hour of theatre work which includes singing, dancing, and script work. Aktion Club Theatre of Mankato is sponsored by the Mankato Downtown Kiwanis Club. Come check us out! All members of the community are invited.
The group meets on the third Tuesdays of every month, 6:30–8:00 p.m., at the Centenary United Methodist Church in downtown Mankato. The church is located at the corner of South Second and Cherry Streets, 501 South Second Street.
