Join our Self-advocate “With Our Voices” video campaign by recording a video clip (30-seconds or less) on a smartphone. Please complete the sentence, “With my voice, I can…” using your method of communication. Your video will help promote the choice of every person with an intellectual and developmental disability to live, work and fully participate in the community.
Examples:
With my voice, I can say that I want my own apartment and find a roommate. I would like to live in the community and get a job to meet new friends and help pay my rent.
With my voice, I can tell people to stop using the “R” word. It make me feel sad when I hear it and wish people would stop using it.
With my voice, I can interview for a job. I like to learn new things and can tell them how to help me be successful.
The first 20 Self-advocates to submit a video, 30-second or less in length, will receive The Arc GTC signature t-shirt. Your video could be featured in online communications or at The Arc GTC Gala.
