Halloween Sort-a-thon – A Celebration of Sorts!

Join The Arc Greater Twin Cities and Greater Twin Cities United Way for a ghoulish good time at the 13th annual A Celebration of Sorts on Thursday, September 15 from 9:00am-9:00pm at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds!  This year we’ll be back in the Dairy Building, appropriately located across from the haunted house!  Volunteers will unpack, sort and tag over 100,000 donated Halloween costumes, clothing and accessories in preparation for the opening of Arc’s Value Village Halloween Boo-tique™.

Proceeds from items sold at Arc’s Value Village help fund vital programs and services offered through The Arc Greater Twin Cities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

A Celebration of Sorts is a fun and energized volunteer event complete with music, prizes and great photo opps! This is a great opportunity for both small and large groups.  Volunteers must be at least high school age.

Available volunteer shifts: 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., 1-4 p.m.  & 6:30-9:00 p.m. (new start time for the evening shift).  Visit our Online Volunteer Calendar to sign up yourself or your group!  Go to arcsvaluevillage.org/volunteer/.  Click the blue “Volunteer” button to get to the volunteer calendar.  In the calendar view, you will find “A CELEBRATION OF SORTS!” listed on Thursday, September 15 in bright purple.  Just click on your preferred shift to sign up!
