Ask An Advocate: Community Participation

Q:  I am 23 years old and have a disability. It’s been hard for me to meet people and find activities to do in the community, and I’m looking for ways to connect with people where I live.

A:  Thank you for your question! We’ve created a free Community Connections Workbook to help individuals explore interests, meet people, and find things to do in their neighborhood. There are questions about your favorite activities, places you want to go, people in your life, and then you can create an action plan based on your choices. The Community Connections Workbook is available to download here: https://arcminnesota.org/pl…/community-connections-workbook/
