Greater Twin Cities Region

The Greater Twin Cities Region provides programs and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in the metro area including Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties.

GetSet! for Employment – The program prepares students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their parents for the transition from school to an adult life with competitive employment as an expectation. The GetSet!™ program is a 6-week curriculum-based program. Click here.

The Arc’s networking groups give parents and caregivers of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a place to share information, resources, and emotional support. Most groups are led by parents of children with disabilities who understand the issues parents face.

¡Adelante! networking groups from The Arc Minnesota are for Spanish-speaking families who have children and or family members with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ¡Adelante! reflects the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking community and welcomes all family members. Meetings begin with social time for families to get acquainted along with sharing food. Then adults hear presentations on topics such as disability services, special education and more, while children enjoy fun activities.

You’ll build skills and become a leader while you work on important issues.  Members learn about issues, plan activities and work on goals as a team. Some members lead meetings or speak at events. Committee meetings are from 5:00-7:30 pm on the second Tuesday of every month at The Arc Minnesota.
