Health and Wellness Expo on October 1

The Arc Greater Twin Cities (The Arc GTC) Health and Wellness Expo is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, and caregivers. The Expo will be held on Saturday, October 1 at Hamline University’s Anderson Center in Saint Paul from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Expo is free and open to the public.

The Expo is a part of The Arc GTC’s health and wellness initiative. The event marks the cumulative effort made by The Arc GTC in the past year to raise awareness about the importance of mind and body health and connect individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to wellness resources. The Expo will focus on physical, social and emotional health and will introduce individuals with disabilities and their caregivers to an abundance of wellness resources that are available to them in the 7- county Twin Cities area.

Among the many notable health and wellness experts participating, the Expo will include a demonstration by keynote speaker, Chef Marshall and Dr. Greg Plotnikoff. The Expo will also feature performances by Kairos Alive!, Lifeworks Rock of Ages, Wingspan’s Glee Club and more!

The Health and Wellness Expo is being funded by donors that contributed to the annual Arc Gala Fund-A-Need and event sponsors including Comcast NBC Universal, Deloitte, Delta Dental, King Solutions and Medica. Thomson-Reuters is providing their popular Convene App, an easy-to-use mobile app for Expo attendees. Event attendees will be able to download the Convene app for the latest event information.
