Join members of The Arc Minnesota’s Self-Advocacy Advisory Committee as they share about the importance of building lifelong advocacy skills. It is important to learn what you value in your life and how to stand up for yourself. Join us to learn how self-advocacy and leadership skills have made difference in our work, careers, relationships, and more. A panel of self-advocates will discuss what self-advocacy is and why it is powerful to be your own advocate. The panel will also host a Q&A discussion.
This event is geared for parents or caregivers, but anyone who is curious about self-advocacy is welcome!
Registration for the event is greatly appreciated. Registration will be open until Friday, October 26, or until we have 45 participants. If you need special accommodations, please let us know at least two weeks in advance.
