An event every month that begins at 4:30 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
People First of Redwood County members work on communication and self-advocacy issues. The group is active in the community in numerous ways: a fall dance, family Christmas party, membership drive, Valentine fudge fundraiser, The Arc’s annual rose sale, and the annual chili supper.
The group’s Born This Way, Here to Stay! program involves self-advocates going into the community and leading panel discussions about the issues people with disabilities face every day. These events build community integration, awareness, and connections.
This group meets at the Pizza Ranch in Redwood Falls the first Monday of every month. Supper is 4:45-6:00 p.m.; the meeting is 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The officers meeting is the second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the REM office in Redwood County.
