2020 Disability Advocacy Day at the Capitol

Join us for the 2020 Disability Advocacy Day at the Capitol on February 25! This day is to discuss issues impacting individuals with disabilities, their families, and support professionals. It is also an opportunity for you to share your personal story with state Senators and Representatives. Disability Advocacy Day at the Capitol is a day to participate in legislative and grassroots advocacy through rally attendance, meeting with elected officials, and personal storytelling.

Schedule for the day:

  • Check-in/registration: 9:00 am, Minnesota Department of Transportation (MN DOT) Cafeteria
  • Poster-making: 9:00-9:30 am
  • Issue/Advocacy training: 9:30-10:00 am
  • Poster-making & co-host/cosponsor tables: 10:00-10:30 am
  • March & Roll to Capitol Building: 10:30-11:00 am, Capitol tunnels and/or outside
  • Rally: 11:00-11:40 am, Capitol Rotunda
