Employing People With Disabilities

Historically, the majority of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) have been either unemployed or underemployed despite their ability, desire and willingness to work in the community.

It is The Arc’s position that people with I/DD should have the supports necessary to find and keep community jobs based on their preferences, interests and strengths, work alongside people without disabilities, receive comparable wages and be free from workplace discrimination.

The Employing People with Disabilities Video Series and Resources will help you expand the diversity of your workforce and positively impact your organization. The program was created through a collaboration between The Arc Minnesota and organizations that are leaders in supporting employment for people with disabilities including Goodwill Easter Seals, Lifeworks Services, Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI), Minnesota Council on Disability, Occupational Development Center, Inc. (ODC), Opportunity Partners, and TSE.
