We are excited to invite current members of The Arc to join us in participating in a critical vote that would bring needed change to The Arc in Minnesota. If you are interested in becoming a member or renewing your membership before the meeting, click here.
As we shared in our recent letter to members, The Arc Greater Twin Cities has worked with volunteer leaders and Executive Directors from nine chapters of The Arc throughout Minnesota to prepare a plan to merge as one organization. We believe together we can better serve more people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families across Minnesota.
The vision driving our work for a statewide organization of The Arc in Minnesota is to create a more powerful and unified voice for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through public policy advocacy, and greater access to quality programs and services across the state.
The Board of Directors of The Arc Greater Twin Cities has approved the Plan of Merger for the new organization. The special General Membership Meeting and Statewide Merger Vote of The Arc Greater Twin Cities will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at The Arc Greater Twin Cities, 2446 University Avenue W., Suite 110, Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Please join the Board of The Arc Greater Twin Cities for this important vote, connect with fellow members, enjoy refreshments, and learn more about our programs, services, civic engagement opportunities and new initiatives, including a Pop-Up Shop direct from Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores.
