Are you looking to gain experience in community organizing and leadership while supporting the St. Cloud disability community? Advocating Change Together (ACT) is recruiting two individuals from St. Cloud to participate in the 2020 Olmstead Academy. Advocating Change Together has responded to Minnesota’s recent push for more integration by launching the Olmstead Academy. The Academy is a 12-month program of classroom and fieldwork. Self-advocates, working in teams, are positioned to help lead the state’s Olmstead Plan and its goal of greater community integration for people with disabilities. The Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities is sponsoring four attendees this year. There is no cost to participate. Transportation is provided.
