Thank You to Tapemark Charity Pro-Am and the Klas & Cody Families!

Bob and Sandy Klas

In 1972, Bob Klas Sr. and Pat Cody Sr. started the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament. This three-day tournament brings professional and amateur golfers together to raise money for nonprofits that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With the guidance of the Klas and Cody families and Tapemark Corporation, along with the participation of over 200 golfers, the tournament has donated more than $7,200,000 to the agencies it supports.

Starting in 2019, the Minnesota PGA will be taking over as host of the tournament. As this chapter ends, The Arc Minnesota wants to recognize the impact the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am and the Klas family has had on our organization.

“When the Klas and Cody families came up with the idea for a golf tournament to raise funds for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, it was really something original at the time. Bob Sr. and Pat Sr. saw an opportunity to make an impact in people’s lives, and The Arc was a natural fit as a partner and benefiting agency. We’re proud of the work we’ve accomplished together over the years and look forward to continued improvement in the lives of people with disabilities through the advocacy work of The Arc Minnesota.” – Bob Klas Jr.

Please join us in thanking Tapemark, the Klas family, the Cody family, and those who have supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the Tapemark Charity Pro-Am event!
